The Hunter is the seventh album by Jennifer Warnes, released in 1992. It peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts.
The Hunter was released five years after her breakthrough album Famous Blue Raincoat. Classified as adult contemporary, the album is jazz/R&B infused.[2] The album includes several covers, including Todd Rundgren's "Pretending To Care", The Waterboys "The Whole Of The Moon", and "Way Down Deep", co-written by Warnes's mentor Leonard Cohen, who makes a guest appearance on the track.[3]
